UL standards for batteries: UL1642, UL2054, UL2056, UL2089

UL standards for batteries: UL1642, UL2054, UL2056, UL2089

In daily life, the communication and interaction between the public and various electronic products is increasing. Due to the increasingly close contact between the battery and the public, the safety of the battery is particularly important. Therefore, more and more businesses pay attention to ensuring the safety of the battery. The North American market has the most advanced and perfect testing standards for products, and the requirements for technical standards and import regulations for entering the country are very strict.

Today we will introduce four UL standards for batteries: UL1642, UL2054, UL2056, UL2089.

UL2089

Nowadays, mobile phones are used more and more frequently. Chargers are widely used in transportation to provide consumers with convenient charging. Car chargers on the car have a close connection with us. The UL2089 standard focuses on preventing the car from charging and burning, and ensuring the safety of consumers using the car charger.

UL1642 and UL2054

The UL 1642 is testing for possible hazards (including overcharge, overdischarge, short circuit, extrusion, temperature changes, etc.). FUS (Tracking Inspection Service) is a follow-up test involving products. UL does not regularly check the factory products four times a year to ensure that the quality of the products produced is consistent with the quality of the products being inspected, thus reducing risks.

UL2054 is more focused on evaluating the protection design of the battery when the battery core has been certified to prevent overcharging and over discharging of the battery.

UL2056

With the wide application of smart products, while power bank bring convenience to our lives.

In 2015, UL introduced UL2056, a safety standard for power bank to help manufacturers reduce the possibility of recalling products for safety reasons.
