IEC 60598-1/GB7000.1/AS/NZS 60598.1 for luminaire

The luminaire technical standard update IEC 60598-1:2014+A1:2017 is officially published. This amendment was developed by the IEC Technical Committee 34: Subcommittee of the Lighting and Related Equipment Committee.

Updated content as following:

1. New identification requirements

Rated input constant voltage, rated input constant current and Uout value, rated input power.

The identification of the leads and terminals used to connect the extra low voltage DC power supply.

2. Structural requirements

Structure—updated the test results of the clip;

External line - add table 5.3 about wire diameter;

Creepage distance and clearance - increased high frequency pulse voltage.

3. Electrical testing

IP test - added IPX2 test method

Durability and Temperature Rise Test—Added test conditions for luminaires that do not have an LED driver but require constant voltage or constant current supply.
