Air Purifier New Standard EN 60335-2-65/IEC 60335-2-65/A11:2012 

Beginning February 24, 2013, the new requirements for European Air Purifier Standard EN60335-2-65/A11:2012 will be implemented: DOW: After 2014-12-21, certificates and reports for the A11 standard will expire.

Compared with the original standard, some aspects have been added or modified as following:

1). Covers the latest Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

2). Updated the scope of standard applicable appliances

For the above points, the detailed introduction as follows:

1). Covers the latest Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

Updated:

The principle objectives of LOW Directive, 2006/95/EC, are covered in this standard. The essential safety requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC has also been taken into account for appliances covered by this part.

The Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC and the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC indicated in the original standard were replaced by the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

2). Updated the scope of standard applicable appliances

a. The scope of application for the appliance is changed-appliances intended for use in households, shops, light industry, farms are within the scope of this standard.

b. Added addition requirements for Schedule ZE.
