The Indonesian official issued the announcement "KEPDIRJEN SDPPI regulation number 183 of 2019" on October 15, 2019. This announcement stipulates that HKT products (mobile phones, tablets and PDAs) can still use CE tests of 40 SDPPI-approved foreign laboratories. Report the transfer. It will be officially implemented on October 15, 2019 and will be valid for the next six months until April 15, 2020.
According to this announcement, the recognition of foreign laboratories must meet the following requirements:
The ability to test telecommunications tools and equipment in accordance with Indonesian technical standards.
Has a laboratory accreditation certificate based on ISO/IEC 17025.
Become a registered member of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) or the Cellular Telecommunication and Internet Association (CTIA).
For non-HKT products, how do we perform certification?
The Indonesian official issued the announcement "KEPDIRJEN SDPPI Number 159 of 2019" on July 12, 2019. This announcement states that products that can be transferred are no longer limited to HKT devices (mobile phones, tablets and handheld computers), such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. This announcement is applicable to wireless communication products such as -Fi. However, it is necessary to use the CE report issued by 210 foreign-accepted laboratories accredited by Indonesia to carry out the transfer. This regulation will be officially implemented on July 22, 2019 and will be valid for the next six months until January 22, 2020.
The accreditation of foreign test laboratories is based on the following criteria:
The laboratory has the ability to test the relevant equipment according to the standards applicable in Indonesia or other equivalent standards.
The laboratory needs to be an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory based on the Asia Pacific Certified Partner Certification Body - Mutual Recognition Agreement (APAC-MRA) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - Joint Amendment Agreement (ILAC-MRA).
Must have at least 2 accreditation certificates from international agencies or telecommunications regulators from other countries.
Don't confuse the above two accredited laboratories, their scope of approval and requirements can be different. The implementation of the new regulations can greatly shorten the product certification cycle, which is more conducive to the certification and export of customer products. Of course, customers can also choose to send samples to the local laboratory for testing and certification.
