UL1642 certification standard scope, the UL1642 certification suits for these lithium batteries.
One (non-rechargeable) and secondary (rechargeable) lithium batteries, metal Li or Li alloy, or Li ion, single core, two or more multi-core strings or parallel structure of the battery pack.
When certain characteristics, characteristics or parts, materials or the whole system of the product are different from those required by this standard. Appropriate additional parts and end product requirements shall be adopted as long as they contain fire, high temperature, electric shock or damage to people and to ensure an acceptable level of safety.
