EN60335-2-8:2003 electric shavers and electric hair clippers

Since August 1, 2013, EN60335-2-8:2003/A2:2008 has been implemented, and EN60335-2-8:2003+A1+A2 has replaced EN60335-2-8:2003+A1 as the standard of an electric shaver and hair cutting.

EN60335-2-8 specifies electric shavers for household and similar purposes. The safety requirements for electric hair cutting, commercial electric shavers and electric hair cutting are also within the scope of this standard. This standard is a harmonized standard for the Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC).

The new requirements of EN60335-2-8:2003/A2:2008 are:

The heights of the symbols IEC 60417-5574 (2002-10) and IEC 60417-5582 (2002-10) must be greater than 5 mm (7.14)

Products with a water resistance rating exceeding IPX4.

The power cord is not allowed to be connected to X (25.7)

The power cord is at least 1.7 meters long, but this requirement does not apply to the charger (25.7)
