What is IEC60950 standard?What is IEC60950 testing?
IEC60950: the national standard of the IT security test is the national standard of the People's Republic of China GB4943-- the safety of information technology equipment (including electrical equipment).
The basic concept
In IEC60950 and gb4943-2011, the minimum safe distance required for different voltage levels is specified, and the safety distance includes electric distance and creepage distance.There are two aspects to ensure the minimum safe distance for switching power supply:
1. The safe distance of one side circuit to the enclosure (protection ground);
2. The safe distance between the primary side circuit and the secondary circuit.
To get a higher precision of data acquisition ability, for test and measurement equipment design engineers, in the case of a high common-mode voltage affect system measurement of small signal change is a challenge.These high voltages are mainly generated by the potential difference between the two ground levels, or the transient overpressure caused by the surge of power surges caused by lightning or motor/switching equipment.These voltages not only affect the accuracy of the measurement, but also can damage the system itself and cause the user's electric shock hazard.
The following products can be safely tested:
Corresponding to the international standard IEC60950: microcomputer, portable computer, learning machine, computer games, CRT and LCD, projectors, printers, switching power supply, charger, power adapter and computer peripheral equipment, UPS power supply, etc.The equipment used in the transformer, printing plate and other components.
International electrotechnical Commission (International company technical themselves, referred to as "IEC) was established in 1906, is one of the world's earliest non-governmental International electrotechnical standardization bodies, is the United Nations and social council (ECOSOC) class a consulting organization.
IEC has three certification boards, one is the electronic components quality assessment board (IECQ), one is the electronic safety certification board (IECEE), and the other is the electrical certification authority (IECEX).In order to formulate the relevant certification guidelines, IEC also established the conformity assessment committee (CAB) in 1996 to formulate a series of certification and accreditation criteria including system certification.
