Australia and new LED light bulbs and small night lights to implement compulsory certification.
Recently, the Australian/New Zealand bureau of standards issued AS/NZS4417.2: the fourth revision standard of the compliance standard for electronic and electrical products in 2012:2017.The revision extends the control product list, reclassifies the security level of some products, and updates the definition of some products.
It is worth noting that this revision has added six categories of products such as LED bulbs and small night lights to compulsory certification products. The standard stipulates that from June 1, 2018, LED light bulbs and night lamps entering the Australian market must first apply for mandatory safety certificates (i.e. SAA certification).
The revision the concrete content includes: one is the new Australian Level 3 mandatory control products: in addition to the LED bulbs and small night light, electric heating water bag, dc isolator, the spray gun and flexible electric blanket (were) will be enforced on June 1, 2018.Secondly, the new Level 2 products: New Zealand balanced car, dc/ac electric vehicle (EV) charging pile, cable assembly, belt line control and protection devices, this a few products since June 30, 2017, if sold in New Zealand, at least should be provided to ensure they comply with relevant standards test report (also can apply for a security certificate).Three is the safety Level classification: since June 1, 2018, flexible heating pads, floor polishing machine/washer, TV receiver three kinds of products from Australia to Level 2 Level 3 products, cut out from the New Zealand Level 2 list at the same time.Fourth, product definition update: flexible heating pad, treatment lamp, wall switch and other product descriptions are also updated in this revision.
SAA Australia international standard is the only standard certification body in Australia.Whether imported or locally assembled electrical products, before entering the Australian market, first through the Australian international standard company certification. Thanks to the mutual recognition agreement between Australia and New Zealand, all products certified in Australia can be successfully marketed in the New Zealand market. There are two main signs of SAA: one is formal recognition and the other is standard.Formal certification is only responsible for the sample, and the standard logo needs to be inspected individually.
The expansion of Australian security compulsory certification products will greatly increase the production and testing costs of enterprises.Once the product quality fails to meet the standard requirements, the Australian market spot check and report, will cause the enterprise to suffer the economic loss.
