On December 27, 2017, the Shanghai entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau has learned that since 2018, more imported motor vehicle tyres must be certified by CCC, and uncertified tyres will not be imported. 

        The tires are: new M, N, O and L type pneumatic tyres, including car tyres, truck tyres, motorcycle tires. 

        According to the notice issued by the national supervision and administration commission on the implementation of regulations on the implementation of compulsory product certification for motor vehicle tyres, it shall be implemented from 1 January 2018. 

        The tyres belong to the first batch of motor vehicle parts listed in the CCC catalogue. 

        In 2015 announced by state certification and accreditation regulation, new motor vehicle inflatable tires, since January 1, 2016 began to accept the specified certification bodies, since January 1, 2018 enforcement, unauthorized shall not, without the factory, sales, import or use in other business activities. 

        That is to say, from January 1, 2018, China will impose CCC certification on more imported tyres. 

        No such tyres shall be imported or made without the CCC mark before importation. 

        In 2017, the Shanghai entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau has seized 7 batches of defective tyres from five different countries because of the lack of the CCC mark. 

        All of these tyres, with a total value of more than 1.2 million yuan, were due to be returned or destroyed due to the failure to implement the control of the port. 

        It is a reminder that imported tire traders need to know more about the relevant laws and regulations of China's compulsory certification before they import the tire, and avoid the loss of the new rules.The tire manufacturer should carry out the compulsory certification of relevant model tires in time.For certified tire models, CCC marks are required on the tire side.
