    Learned, on February 10, 2016, Saudi standard measuring the quality organization (SASO) and the energy efficiency center issued a "SASO 2870/2015: lighting products, energy efficiency, function and label requirements" lighting products of technical regulations, provisions in the standard of lighting products exported to Saudi Arabia must meet the certification requirements of energy consumption.SASO2870/2015 made clear the legal efficiency, function of lighting products, labels, as well as the energy efficiency label requirements, standard also to the safety of the light source products, electromagnetic compatibility and poisonous and harmful material set limit to also made the request. 

    The standard range of products is required to perform new energy efficiency requirements in three phases.Starting from May 1, 2016, all kinds of directional and non-directional bulbs rated at 60W and above are included in the control range.Light source products manufacturers or exporters need to confirm your products meet the requirements of the SASO2870 registered in Saudi standards at the same time, apply for certificates of energy efficiency, and on the product corresponds to the level of energy efficiency labeling.All products within the standard range will be checked and registered with the registration certificate when arriving in Saudi customs.All kinds of directional and non-directional light bulbs under the rated power of 60W shall be included in the control range from May 1, 2017.Such products need to be certified by SASO energy efficiency, or they will be banned from the country.This stage requires explicit directory product conformity certificate (COC) body within the scope of products to meet the requirements of energy efficiency labels, check for not meet the requirements of the relevant product refus Saudi COC certificate.The third phase will be implemented from 1 January 2019. 

    According to the investigation, the reason for the export of LED lamps in shaoxing area of zhejiang province was that the export of the LED lamps was not imported by Saudi customs, which was not required to be added to the energy efficiency label according to SASO requirements.Here, bureau of shaoxing remind each LED lamp export enterprises, pay close attention to the Saudi technical regulations, the latest information, timely access to SASO permission of energy efficiency, according to the standards with energy efficiency labels, in order to avoid a return risk.
