The application process and matters needing attention of LED lighting CB certification.

        The scope of the CB system

        The products covered by the CB system are products within the IEC standards recognized by the IECEE system.The new IEC standard will be adopted by the CB system when more than three member states declare that they want and support a standard to join the CB system.The current IEC standards are published on the CB bulletin and the IECEE website.

        Current electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is not included in the CB system unless specifically requested by the IEC standard.However, the CB system has started to offer its members the willingness to conduct EMC measurements with security testing.The results of the survey will be published in the CB bulletin, which is the subject of the study.

        Application for CB certificate

        1. For application of CB test certificate, the following points should be noted:

        1) the application for CB test certificate may be submitted by the applicant to any "certification/approval" NCB covering the scope of the product.

        2) the applicant may be either a manufacturer or an entity that is authorized to represent the manufacturer.

        3) the application may include one or more factories producing products in one or more countries.

        4) applicants/manufacturers/factories in countries without IECEE member institutions need to pay additional fees for each CB test certificate,

        To compensate the operating cost of the system.This fee will be charged by NCB, which accepts the CB test certificate, and will enter IECEE's account.

        5) the applicant may ask the NCB to test the products according to the national differences of the products sold to the country.

        2. The manufacturer shall obtain the product certification of the target market including the following procedures:

        1) the application submitted to the NCB of the target country;

        2) CB test certificate;

        3) CB test report (including national differences);

        4) provide product samples to the NCB requirements of the target market.The purpose of the sample is to confirm that the product is consistent with the product tested by NCB and has covered the national differences.

        CB test certificate and CB test report.

        The CB test certificate is a formal CB system document issued by the authorized NCB. The purpose is to inform other NCB: the tested product samples are considered to be in line with the current requirements.The CB test certificate should not be used for advertising, but it is allowed to use the existing CB certificate as a reference.

        The CB report is a standardized report that enumerates the requirements of the relevant IEC standards in a step-by-step format.The results of all tests, measurements, validation, inspections and evaluations required by the report should be clear and unambiguous.The report also includes photos, circuit diagrams, pictures and product descriptions.According to the rules of the CB system, the CB test report is valid only when provided with the CB test certificate.If a NCB has the necessary test equipment and technical capabilities, it can test and evaluate products based on national differences in other countries.These additional tests, as attached to the CB test report, are generally recognized by other recognized NCB.
