SONCAP certification profile
The SONCAP certificate is the statutory necessary instrument to control the customs clearance procedures of the products in Nigeria. The absence of the SONCAP certificate will result in the delay of the control products and the refusal to enter the domestic market of Nigeria.It is particularly important to note that SONCAP is applicable to control products and other import procedures specified by the government of Nigeria remain valid.After years of implementation, the new SONCAP policy will be implemented on April 1, 2013, according to the latest notice, which is a lot more volatile than the previous SONCAP.The exporter will not apply for SONCAP every time the shipment is made. The exporter shall apply for COC. The exporter shall apply to the importer for the application of SC. SC in the local SONCAP institution.In addition, on-site sampling, inspection and supervision are required according to the product's risk category.
